Broadway box offices took a dip this past week, with several shows experiencing a six-figure drop in grosses from the week before. (A notable exception:
Speed-the-Plow jumped more than $40,000 from the previous week.) As
Wicked and
Jersey Boys returned to their familiar one-two spots, two newcomers joined the Broadway ranks, representing two ends of the sweetness spectrum: holiday heart-warmer
White Christmas and the musical tale of a two-timing schemer,
Pal Joey.
