Three classic musicals will be presented at the Goodspeed Opera House next year, including a revised version of Lerner & Loewe’s Camelot. The East Haddam, CT, musical venue is currently presenting the new holiday show Emmet Otter’s Jug-Band Christmas, produced in association with Jim Henson Company.
The 2009 season will begin with 42nd Street, running April 17-June 28, directed by Ray Roderick and choreographed by Rick Conant. Camelot will run July 10-September 19 in a production featuring book revisions by Michael Lerner, son of the musical’s librettist and lyricist Alan Jay Lerner. Rob Ruggiero will direct. The season will end with A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum directed by Ted Pappas and running September 25-November 29.
