Headlines: Carol Woods Returns to Broadway's Chicago on July 26

Carol Woods will return to the role of Matron Mama Morton in Chicago on July 26. She has previously played the role both on Broadway and on tour. Current star Mary Testa is set to play her final performance July 24.

In addition to Chicago, Woods has appeared on the Great White Way in One Mo' Time, Follies, Smokey Joe's Cafe, Steppin' Out, The Goodbye Girl, Grind, Big River, The Crucible and A Little Hotel on the Side. She received an Olivier Award nomination for her performance in Blues in the Night in London. She was recently featured on the big screen in The Honeymooners.

In addition to Testa, Chicago currently stars Charlotte d'Amboise, Luba Mason, Christopher McDonald, Ray Bokhour and R. Lowe. Brooke Shields is scheduled to step into the role of Roxie Hart on September 9, replacing d'Amboise.
