Nominees have been announced for the 2008 Artios Awards from the Casting Society of America. Six of the 19 competitive categories pertain to theater, with the others awarded to casting in film and television. The Artios Awards will be presented at coast-to-coast ceremonies on November 10, with the New York event held at Caroline's on Broadway. Disney Theatrical Group producer Thomas Schumacher will be presented a special New York Apple Award honoring his commitment to non-traditional casting.
