Having made their Broadway dreams come true, the cast of Spring Awakening decided to hop a train downtown on October 26 to experience Nightmare: Where Bad Dreams Come True, the best haunted house in New York City (and the country, according to some visitors). Beware: This Manhattan scarefest ain't like the haunted house back in grammar school, where bad-acting teachers put your hands in a bowl of oatmeal and cackled, “It’s brains!” Nightmare’s actually a terrifying theatrical experience, fully loaded with disturbing characters and freaky images culled from an online survey of bad dreams. All of which didn't phase the Spring team, given the adult monsters they face onstage eight times a week. Click on to see these Broadway troupers gear up for a real-life nightmare!
