wanted to create a way to honor of opinions of actual theatergoers like you.
The Audience Award nominees and winners are chosen solely by Broadway.com users
via online voting.
How were the Audience Award categories determined?
In addition to standard production and performance categories, Broadway.com’s
Audience Awards are unique in many ways. The awards honor both new and
long-running Broadway and off-Broadway productions in 26 categories including
unusual choices including Favorite Replacement, Favorite Ensemble Cast,
Favorite Onstage Pair, Favorite Breakthrough Performance and Favorite New
Broadway Song, a new category added to this year’s list.
Which shows and performances are eligible for the 2005 Audience Awards?
The awards recognize productions and performances in Broadway and off-Broadway
venues that opened between May 6, 2004 and May 5, 2005.
How can I be a part of the nominating process?
From May 2 to May 10, Broadway.com readers can nominate their favorites from
the season by selection five choices out of complete lists of the season’s
performance and productions.
Can I vote more than once?
No. To keep the process fair, you will only be allowed to vote one time during
each voting process (once to nominate, once to choose final winners). Multiple
submissions from the same computer will be tracked and eliminated from final
tallies.
When will the 2005 Audience Award nominations be announced?
The nominations will be revealed on Friday, May 13, at which point users can
start to vote for one winner in each category.
When will the 2005 Audience Award winners be announced?
The winners will be announced on Wednesday, May 25.
