Complete Casting Announced for Mamet's Keep Your Pantheon and School

Complete casting has been announced for David Mamet’s upcoming off-Broadway double bill of Keep Your Pantheon and School at the Atlantic Theater Company. The unrelated pair of short plays begins performances on September 9 with opening night set for September 30. The limited engagement, directed by Atlantic Artistic Director Neil Pepe, plays through November 1.

Jeffrey Addiss (Atlantic’s The Night Heron, Two Unrelated Plays by David Mamet at Center Theater Group), Michael Cassidy (Two Unrelated Plays by David Mamet), Steven Hawley (Atlantic’s Romance), J. J. Johnston (American Buffalo on Broadway, Keep Your Pantheon at Center Theater Group), Jordan Lage (Broadway’s Speed-the-Plow, Atlantic’s Almost an Evening), Brian Murray (Broadway’s Mary Stuart, Atlantic’s Hobson’s Choice), Rod McLachlan (Broadway’s Holiday, Atlantic’s Edmund), John Pankow (Broadway’s Cymbeline, off-Broadway’s Why Torture is Wrong, and the People Who Love Them), Jonathan Rossetti (Atlantic’s Our Favorite Child, TV’s The Unit), Jack Wallace (Broadway’s Glengarry Glen Ross, Keep Your Pantheon at Center Theater Group) and Todd Weeks (Broadway’s The Full Monty, Atlantic’s Scarcity) make up the ensemble cast of both plays.

Keep Your Pantheon, a farce about the misfortunes of an acting troupe in Ancient Rome, made its world debut at California’s Center Theater Group in May 2008, featuring Addiss, Cassidy, Johnston and Wallace. School, described as a brief comic discourse on recycling, poster design and the transmission of information, will have its world premiere at Atlantic.

The creative team for Keep Your Pantheon and School will feature scenic design by Takeshi Kata, costume design by Ilona Somogyi, lighting design by Chris Akerlind and sound design by Obadiah Eaves.
