Creel, Harris, Sieber and More Top Out Magazine’s List of 100 Honorees

Out Magazine recently released the “Out 100 – Class of 2009.” The list, which featured such household names as American Idol runner-up Adam Lambert, Congressman Barney Frank and film director Pedro Almodóvar, was heavy with theater people. The magazine, which features glossy photos by Jason Bell of the honorees in a school-themed portfolio, describes its list as “the most outstanding and inspiring men and women of the year.”

Here are the theater folks who made the cut: Hair star Gavin Creel, Broadway vet Jesse Tyler Ferguson, The Royal Family’s John Glover, actor and 2009 Tony Awards host Neil Patrick Harris, writer/director Moises Kaufman, playwright Tony Kushner, Superior Donuts director Tina Landau, Broadway vet Cyndi Lauper, West Side Story writer/director Arthur Laurents, Bye Bye Birdie director Robert Longbottom, The Temperamentals playwright Jon Marans, director/choreographer Rob Marshall, Jujamcyn Theaters president Jordan Roth, playwright Paul Rudnick, The Temperamentals producer Stacy Shane, Shrek star Christopher Sieber, The Temperamentals director Jonathan Silverstein and The Temperamentals star Michael Urie.
