If cinnamon ice cream topped with Red Hots sounds good to you, the New York dessert palace Serendipity 3 has just the thing: their brand new Burn the Floor sundae! Created in honor of Broadway’s sizzling ballroom dance show, the sweet treat was unveiled on December 3 by current stars Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Kym Johnson. Described as “a flaming hot & cold concoction,” the sundae includes spicy Big Apple pie in a “licorice-corseted goblet” topped with a scoop of cinnamon ice cream, caramel sauce, whipped cream and Red Hots. (Can we have frozen hot chocolate instead?) Broadway.com stopped by Serendipity to see Maks and Kym sample their very special sundae.
