Ready to beat the winter doldrums with some good old-fashioned fun? Check out these photos by Joan Marcus of the always-dashing Victor Garber in Noël Coward’s classic comedy Present Laughter. Garber plays matinee idol Garry Essendine, who struggles to plan his upcoming trip to Africa. While he is doing so, his elegant London flat is invaded by a love struck ingénue, an adulterous producer and a married seductress, not to mention Garry’s estranged wife and a crazed young playwright. See? With a plot like that, you can guarantee that the doldrums will flee (at least for a couple of hours). Present Laughter opens on January 21 at the American Airlines Theatre.
