Jon Maran's The Temperamentals has already enjoyed two opening nights off-Broadway, but the official celebration for its latest transfer to New World Stages on February 28 was the best yet! After a sold-out and extended run at the Barrow Group Theatre last summer, the critically acclaimed play returned to off-Bradway, bringing with it original stars Thomas Jay Ryan (Broadway's In the Next Room or The Vibrator Play) and Michael Urie (ABC's Ugly Betty) as lovers Harry Hay and Rudi Gernreich, respectively. Directed by Jonathan Silverstein, The Temperamentals also features Arnie Burton, Matthew Schneck and Sam Breslin Wright in the true story of the secret gay rights group the Mattachine Society. Opening night brought out a variety of well-wishers to raise a glass at The Palm restaurant in honor of the show's third New York stage outing.
