Pulitzer Prize winning playwright Suzan-Lori Parks is know for her provactive, poetic portfolio, which includes plays like the acclaimed Topdog/Underdog and Venus . Her latest outing, The Book of Grace , follows in the same tradition, weaving the story of one young man's nightmarish reunion with his estranged father in rural Southern Texas. The drama, starring Elizabeth Marvel, John Doman and Amari Cheatom goes beyond the typical prodigal son tale, however.
