Tony Award nominee John Tartaglia’s got Broadway credits like Avenue Q, Beauty and the Beast and Shrek on his resume already (not to mention the hit Playhouse Disney series Johnny and the Sprites) . The talented actor/puppeteer’s latest outing, Imaginocean , has landed itself off-Broadway at New World Stages—and it’s like no kids’ show you’ve ever seen. Using a combination of black light effects and new music composed by William Wade, the show tells the story of Tank, Dorsel and Bubbles, three best fish friends on a remarkable journey under the sea. Broadway.com swam over to New World Stages for a chat with Tartaglia, as well as actor/director Donna Drake and co-star Michael Shawn Lewis, about the tunes, tricks and origin of this splashy all-ages show.
