A mysterious young man with amnesia washed naked on a wartorn British shore. War crimes taking place in secret on a forgotten English Island. A sinister Nazi playing dangerous games of cat and mouse with an innocent family of women. All are woven in the fabric of playwright Moira Buffini's drama-cum-thriller Gabriel, which keeps audiences on uncertain footing as crooked as the play's windworn set. Now playing at The Atlantic Theater Company, the harrowing drama (directed by David Esbjornson) is certain to raise a few eyebrows (in a good way)--meaning we had to get the inside schoop from Buffini, Esbjornson and stars Lisa Emery, Zach Grenier, Samantha Soule and Lee Aaron Rosen to better understand what makes this unique blend of horror, poetry and humor work. The limited engagement will play through June 6, so watch the video...then go meet Gabriel yourself.
