'The Burnt Part Boys'
About the Show
There’s an old-fashioned adventure yarn being told off-Broadway, and it’s called The Burnt Part Boys. Set in a mining town in West Virginia, this new musical centers on four appealing young characters (brothers who are 14 and 18 years old and their respective best friends) and their reaction to the news that a deadly mine is being reopened. Though the show is set in 1962, it has a timeless quality, as well as an unfortunate timeliness in the face of recent mining tragedies. The stars and creators of The Burnt Part Boys recently chatted with Broadway.com from the mainstage at Playwrights Horizons, where the show is running until June 13. Click on to meet the Boys.
