Anne Hathaway
Fans want to see Anne Hathaway perform 'A Cockeyed Optimist' and 'Honey Bun' in the film remake of 'South Pacific.'

With plans for a film remake of the classic Rogers and Hammerstein musical South Pacific recently announced, we wanted to know which Hollywood actress you'd like to see headlining as Ensign Nellie Forbush. The votes are in, and 30% of fans say they want Academy Award nominee Anne Hathaway to be the girl who'll fall for "A Wonderful Guy." While the actress has yet to star in a full-blown movie musical, she performed two songs in the 2004 film Ella Enchanted, starred in the 2002 Reprise series production of Carnival, participated in a reading of the current hit revival of Promises, Promises and is readying to play Judy Garland in an upcoming film.

Second place went to Reese Witherspoon (who sang onscreen in her Oscar-winning performance as June Carter Cash in Walk the Line) with 13% of the votes. Two more blonds tied for third place: The Notebook's Rachel McAdams and Mamma Mia! film star Amanda Seyfried both pulled in 11% of the votes. Fourth place also resulted in a tie with Academy Award winner Kate Winslet and Elf's Zooey Deschanel both earning 8%. Recent Tony winner Scarlett Johansson rounded out the race in fifth place with 4%.

Thanks for voting!
