Some enchanted evening indeed! After 1,000 performances, seven Tony Awards, a live PBS telecast and countless standing ovations the first-ever Broadway revival of South Pacific set sail for good, playing its final performance on August 22 at Lincoln Center’s Vivian Beaumont Theatre. Original stars Kelli O’Hara and Paulo Szot returned to the much celebrated production and despite the sadness of saying goodbye, there was plenty of happy talk backstage afterward as the company toasted their show. Take a trip to South Pacific for the final time with these photos!
