Teen superstar Justin Bieber already knows a thing or two about highly stylized hair—and the "Baby" singer now hopes to join up with the T-Birds for a remake of Grease, according to Britain's The Sun. Bieber told the paper that playing Danny Zuko in a remake of the popular 1978 film, based on the Broadway musical of the same name, is a dream project of his.
"It would be a lot of fun," Bieber said. "It's been talked about a lot over the years, but it would be awesome to play Danny." As for the one that he'd want as his leading lady, Sandy Dumbrowski? "I would go for Miley Cyrus without hesitation," Bieber said. "She can sing, dance and act." Bieber has his eyes on yet another popular singer to play a featured role: "Wouldn't Susan Boyle make an amazing Principal McGee?" he gushed. "We'd just need to write it into the script that she broke into song."
Grease originally opened on Broadway in 1972 and ran for more than eight years. The film version starred John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John as the leading lovebirds. The most recent Broadway revival of the show opened in April 2007 and ran for 554 performances.
