West Side Story - Broadway

The classic American musical returns to Broadway.

Tonight Won’t Be Just Any Night! Sarah Amengual Steps Into West Side Story

A new Maria stepped out onto the fire escapes of West Side Story on September 21, in the form of Broadway newcomer Sarah Amengual. It’s a dream come true for the recent University of Miami graduate, who took over the role from Tony nominee Josefina Scaglione. The "ridiculously blissful" Amengual—who has graduated from college, gotten married and booked a Broadway show all in one year—is happily settling in to her new dressing room in the Palace Theatre for the final months of the show's run. Her lines are learned, her cues are set and Broadway.com was there to capture her opening night prep and first Broadway curtain call—take a look!
