Julianne Moore Puts On Her Author Cap to Cheer the New Family Musical Freckleface Strawberry

You know Julianne Moore as four-time Oscar nominee and star of the best movie of summer 2010, The Kids Are All Right. But Moore wears another hat: author of the bestselling children’s picture book Freckleface Strawberry. This heartwarming autobiographical tale of a seven-year-old girl who hates her freckles has been transformed into a family musical with the theme of self-acceptance. With Hayley Podschun in the title role, the show is set to open off-Broadway on October 1 at New World Stages. On September 23, Moore stopped by the theater to chat with the press about the musical version of her story (she loves it) and pose for photos with the cast and creative team.
