We know why these people are smiling: They got great reviews this summer in Williamstown Theatre Festival’s world premiere of After the Revolution, and now they get to do it again at Playwrights Horizons. Amy Herzog’s new play centers on a family forced to revisit history and confront the truth about a relative who was blacklisted. With a cast that includes Katharine Powell as the granddaughter who devotes her life to the cause, Tony nominee Peter Friedman as her dad, Mare Winningham as her stepmother and Lois Smith as her grandmother, this exciting Revolution is set to begin previews on October 21, directed by Carolyn Cantor. As rehearsals began on October 1, the company gathered at Playwrights Horizons for a few photos. Click on and get to know them!
