Will Glee Star Lea Michele Make Her Big Screen Debut in New Year's Eve?

Broadway, television, the music charts... What hasn't Lea Michele conquered yet? The silver screen! Well, not yet! E! Online reports that the Glee star is in final talks to make her big screen debut in the upcoming Gary Marshall ensemble film New Year's Eve, a follow-up to his recent hit Valentine's Day.

Like Valentine's Day, the new film will follow a bunch of characters as they navigate their way through one eventful New Year's Eve. There's no official announcement on the film or Michele's involvement yet, but Marshall is said to be determined to get the rising star in his film. Other stars on his wish list include Justin Bieber, Zac Efron, Halle Berry and Reese Witherspoon.

As a youngster, Michele made her Broadway debut as Young Cosette in Les Miserables and went on to appear as The Little Girl in Ragtime. In her teens, she returned to Broadway in the 2004 revival of Fiddler on the Roof as Shprintze, before making a big splash as the female lead of the Duncan Sheik musical Spring Awakening in 2006. Michele is now famous for playing Rachel in the hit Fox show Glee, a role that earned her a 2010 Emmy Award nomination.
