Actress Parker Posey is hoping to return to the New York stage in The Realistic Joneses, a new script from Middletown playwright Will Eno. “I love him,” Posey gushed to Broadway.com about the prize-winning writer. “He wasn’t finished with it when I read it. It was only about 60 pages in and already it was amazing.” Posey says the play is set in a small town where a disease-curing doctor resides. She will play a woman who is unaware that her husband is very ill.
“I miss it so much,” Posey said of the stage. “I had so much fun last time doing Hurlyburly." The actress starred alongside Ethan Hawke and Bobby Cannavale in the New Group’s 2005 revival of David Rabe’s play. She also appeared in Broadway’s Taller Than a Dwarf and off-Broadway’s Fifth of July. Posey was scheduled to star in the 2009 off-Broadway play This, but was forced to withdraw due to health complications involving Lyme disease.
Posey's many film credits include A Mighty Wind, Best in Show, Dazed and Confused, The House of Yes, Broken English, Superman Returns and Clockwatchers.
