The Divine Sister will ends it almost eight-month run at the Soho Playhouse on May 1. The Charles Busch comedy will have played nine previews and 253 regular performances at the time of closing.

A loving spoof of classic religious films, The Divine Sister opened on September 22, 2010 to positive reviews. Directed by Carl Andress, the production stars Busch, Alison Fraser, Julie Halston, Amy Rutberg, Jennifer Van Dyck and Jonathan Walker. As previously announced, Marcy McGuigan will replace Fraser in the role of Sister Walburga on April 9, 2011.
