A cast of some of Broadway and off-Broadway's hottest dancers have signed on for Broadway Bares: Solo Strips, a one-night-only fundraiser to be held on April 3 at Splash. This sexy springtime event echoes the origins of the popular Broadway Bares fundraiser, which was begun by executive producer Jerry Mitchell in 1992 at the same venue. As always, proceeds from the two performances of Solo Strips will benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.
The cast of Broadway Bares: Solo Strips 2011 will include Dave August (Naked Boys Singing!, Broadway Bares 10-20), Sandor DeGrazia (Broadway Bares 9, 10, 11, 13), Tony Guerrero (West Side Story international tour, Broadway Bares 19, 20), Tyrone Jackson (Memphis, Broadway Bares 19, 20), Andy Mills (Memphis), Brandon Rubendall (Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark, Broadway Bares 20), Kellen Stancil (The Lion King), Charlie Sutton (Catch Me If You Can, Broadway Bares 16, 18, 20), Rickey Tripp (In the Heights, Broadway Bares 17, 18, 20) and Matthew Skrincosky (Broadway Bares 16-20).
Solo Strips is a sexy tease for one of BC/EFA's annual signature events, Broadway Bares. This year’s show, Broadway Bares XXI: Masterpiece, will be held on June 19 at Roseland Ballroom and feature 200 of Broadway's sexiest bodies emulating the art world's most seductive nudes, directed by Josh Rhodes. Casting and guests will be announced at a later date.
