The New York weather may have been frightful on March 23, but off-Broadway's Roundabout Underground was plenty warm on opening night of David West Read’s The Dream of the Burning Boy. The scorching new play, by turns tragic and funny, traces the effect of a popular high school student’s death on the people who cared about him. Roundabout Underground veteran Reed Birney leads a stellar company that, along with members of the creative team, recently shared their thoughts on this exciting new work with Broadway.com. We caught up with them again on their hyper-realistic high school set as they celebrated a successful opening night.
