The Golden Theatre got to dial up its diva quotient on May 6, when the (mostly) boys' club cast of The Normal Heart got a visit from not one but two of Broadway’s most beloved leading ladies: Patti LuPone and Idina Menzel! Both brassy, belt-y Tony winners spent the evening enjoying Larry Kramer’s groundbreaking—not to mention heartbreaking—1985 play about the early days of the AIDS epidemic in New York City. After the show, Menzel and LuPone headed backstage to visit with their fellow thespians, talk shop and take photos. Click through to check it out.
