A high-powered pow-wow took place at the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre on July 12, when three original cast members of Terrence McNally’s Master Class came to see the acclaimed Broadway revival of the play. Zoe Caldwell and Audra McDonald, who won Tony Awards as Maria Callas and opera student Sharon Graham, respectively, were on hand to see Tyne Daly and Sierra Boggess take on the roles they created. (McDonald’s date was her 10-year-old daughter Zoe, named for Caldwell!) Also in the audience was David Loud, who played onstage accompanist Manny in the original production, plus real-life opera diva Renee Fleming and more!
