A new witch is hitting the road. Mamie Parris will play Elphaba on the first North American tour of Wicked, replacing Dee Roscioli, on October 4 when the show lands in Atlanta.
Parris was last seen in the national tour of 9 To 5 as Judy Bernly (a part originated on Broadway by Stephanie J. Block, a former Elphaba herself). Parris' Broadway credits include the recent revival of Ragtime, The Drowsy Chaperone and 110 In The Shade. She was also seen in the first national tour of Legally Blonde.
In addition to Roscioli, the cast of the first North American tour of Wicked includes Amanda Jane Cooper as Glinda, Colin Hanlon as Fiyero, Alma Cuervo as Madame Morrible and Mark Jacoby as the Wizard.
