When Denzel Washington comes ...
On October 29, Oscar winner Denzel Washington dropped by Memphis’ Lorraine Motel (by way of Broadway’s Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre) to take in The Mountaintop, the story of Martin Luther King Jr.’s last night on earth before his assassination. After the lights came up on this moving tale, Washington went backstage to congratulate show stars (and Washington’s former film co-stars) Samuel L. Jackson and Angela Bassett and, of course, the show's director, Kenny Leon, who guided him to a Best Actor Tony Award in Fences. Click on below to check out this Rialto reunion on The Mountaintop.
