Lovers of great drama (with a healthy dose of comedy) had a special reason to cheer Other Desert Cities on the play’s November 3 opening night at the Booth Theatre: The play represents the Broadway debut of scribe Jon Robin Baitz after more than two decades of well-reviewed off-Broadway productions. Lincoln Center Theater’s production stars Stockard Channing, Rachel Griffiths, Stacy Keach, Judith Light and Thomas Sadoski, all of whom joined celebrity guests such as Renee Zellweger, Orlando Bloom and Sting at a swanky post-show party at the Marriott Marquis Hotel.
