'Nice Work' claims an opening date of April 24, 2012.

The new musical comedy Nice Work If You Can Get It, starring Broadway headliners Matthew Broderick and Kelli O’Hara, has set an opening date of April 24, 2012, at the Imperial Theatre. A first preview date and additional casting for the production, which will be directed and choreographed by Kathleen Marshall, will be announced shortly.

Nice Work If You Can Get It features a hit parade of songs by George and Ira Gershwin and a book by Memphis scribe Joe DiPietro. The show follows Billie Bendix (O’Hara), a tough-as-nails bootlegger who meets wealthy playboy Jimmy Winter (Broderick) on the weekend of his nuptials. Mayhem ensues.

This new show reunites O’Hara with Kathleen Marshall following their Tony-winning success with The Pajama Game and the Encores! production of Bells Are Ringing. Nice Work marks two-time Tony winner Broderick’s first musical since The Producers.

Nice Work If You Can Get It will feature scenic design by Derek McLane, costume design by Martin Pakledinaz, lighting design by Peter Kaczorowski and sound design by Brian Ronan. The music supervisor is David Chase. The show is being produced by Roger Berlind, Sonia Friedman, Roy Furman and Scott Landis.
