Broadway fave Andy Karl, who recently joined the Broadway cast of Jersey Boys as tough guy Tommy DeVito, is settling nicely into his new dressing room at the August Wilson Theatre. The popular star recently invited Broadway.com to check it out, and after a shameless Broadway.com mug plug (we’ll take it, Andy!), Karl got down to the business of showing us his backstage must-haves. No shocker that music plays an important part, with his guitar (and an original ode to it) and speakers (playing music from Rocky, an appropriate choice since he played the title role in a reading of a musical version of the boxing drama) on the list. A gorgeous quilt from Karl’s days in Wicked, made by his dresser Michael, holds a place of honor, but nothing ranks higher than pictures of his wife, Orfeh.
