Kevin Cahoon, Jennifer Regan and Marnie Schulenburg have joined the cast of Second Stage Theatre’s upcoming revival of Paula Vogel’s Pulitzer Prize-winning play, How I Learned to Drive. The trio joins previously announced stars Norbert Leo Butz and Elizabeth Reaser. Directed by Kate Whoriskey, the production begins previews on January 24, 2012, with an official opening set for February 13.
How I Learned to Drive explores the complex relationship between Li’l Bit (Reaser) and her Uncle Peck (Butz), as a series of driving lessons progresses from innocence to something much darker. The play premiered at the Vineyard Theatre in 1997 in an acclaimed production that starred David Morse and Mary-Louise Parker.
Cahoon has appeared on Broadway in The Wedding Singer, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, The Lion King, The Rocky Horror Show and The Who’s Tommy. Regan’s Broadway credits include Born Yesterday, Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? and The Lady From Dubuque. Schulenburg received an Emmy nomination for her portrayal of Alison Stewart on As The World Turns. Her other TV credits include Blue Bloods, Army Wives and Royal Pains.
