'A Time to Kill' eyes a Broadway run this fall.

Producer Daryl Roth is aiming to bring Rupert Holmes' stage adaptation of John Grisham's A Time to Kill to Broadway this fall. No casting or theater have been announced at this time.

A Time to Kill tells the story of a Mississippi town's upheaval when Carl Lee Hailey takes the law into his own hands following an unspeakable crime committed against his daughter. Now on trial for murder, Hailey's only hope lies with young, idealistic lawyer Jake Brigance, who is outmatched by the formidable district attorney Rufus Buckley, and under attack from both sides of a racially divided city.

The stage adaptation of A Time to Kill made its world premiere in May 2011 at the Arena Stage in Washington, D.C., with a cast headed by Broadway vet Sebastian Arcelus. The cast also featured Erin Davie, Dion Graham, Rosie Benton, Brennan Brown, Jeffrey M.
