After wowing critics and audiences in the summer 2011 Broadway revival of Master Class, Tyne Daly is reprising her performance as opera diva Maria Callas at London’s Vaudeville Theatre. Daly began a 14-week limited engagement in Terrence McNally’s Tony-winning play on January 21 alongside Broadway vets Garrett Sorenson (as aspiring singer Anthony Candolino) and Jeremy Cohen (as accompanist Emmanuel Weinstock). Joining them are Dianne Pilkington (a former West End Glinda in Wicked) as plain Jane singer Sophie De Palma, rising opera star Naomi O’Connell as glamorous student Sharon Graham and Gerard Carey as Stagehand.
