Amra-Faye Wright Returns to Broadway’s Chicago as Velma Kelly

Amra-Faye Wright will return to Chicago as Velma Kelly from February 2 through April 5 at the Ambassador Theatre. Wright replaces current star Bahiyah Sayyed Gaines. 

Wright returns to Broadway directly from the West End, where she re-opened the London production at the Garrick Theatre last November. Her many theater credits include Footloose, Grease, A Chorus Line and Nunsense! as well as regional productions of Peter Pan, Jack and the Beanstalk, Viva Sun City and Elvis Las Vegas.

The Tony-winning revival currently stars Marco Zunino as Billy Flynn, Bianca Marroquin as Roxie Hart, Carol Woods as Mama Morton and Chris Sullivan as Amos Hart. Chicago veteran Christie Brinkley will reprise her role as Roxie Hart in the musical from April 6 through April 27.
