Merrily We Roll Along is a rarely seen but well-loved Stephen Sondheim musical which traces the career choices and friendship of three artists over a span of 20 years. Encores! begins its season with Lin-Manuel Miranda, Colin Donnell and Celia Keenan-Bolger starring as the trio of “old friends” Charley Kringas, Franklin Shepard and Mary Flynn, respectively. The production, directed by frequent Sondheim collaborator James Lapine, opens February 8 and continues at New York City Center through February 19.
