As Delray, the owner of an underground African-American rock 'n' roll bar, Memphis’ Christopher Jackson knows how to get the party started. Thus, it’s no surprise the actor keeps the ball rolling and the energy up backstage at the Shubert Theatre. The performer invited Broadway.com into his dressing room and confessed he’d be sporting baseball cleats in the Major League if he weren’t rocking those fancy dancing shoes onstage eight times a week. Besides a baseball signed by Tony La Russa of the St. Louis Cardinals, Jackson showed off pics of his family and one capturing the moment he won an Emmy for his work on Sesame Street. He also gave a shout-out to In The Heights, in which he originated the role of Benny, and showed off the Theraband that keeps his muscles ready for action.
