In 1988, the musical adaptation of Carrie made Broadway history when it closed after five performances. In spite of the premiere production's fast exit, Betty Buckley’s performance as terrifying mom Margaret White is still revered by fans of the cult musical. MCC Theater's new off-Broadway production of Carrie got a very special visitor on February 10, when Buckley arrived at the Lucille Lortel Theatre. After the show, the Tony-winning star headed backstage to congratulate the creative team as well as stars Molly Ranson and Marin Mazzie.
