Sweet! Priscilla Queen of the Desert Celebrates Its First Broadway Birthday

A year-long run on Broadway is something to celebrate, and the cast of Priscilla Queen of the Desert happily marked that milestone on March 20 at the Palace Theatre. Broadway.com got a rare chance to photograph the talented cast “as themselves” (before donning their flamboyant, Tony-winning costumes) at a pre-show celebration featuring treats from Pie Face Bakery Cafe, Australia’s most celebrated sweet shop. In honor of the Aussie-set musical’s first Broadway birthday, the bakery, which just opened its first NYC location, unveiled a special “Priscilla Pink Pie Face Pie,” a raspberry mousse confection with a layer of raspberry coulis dipped in pink glaze for extra sweetness.
