The sultry heat of New Orleans’ French Quarter will soon be transplanted to the Broadhurst Theatre, where a revival of Tennessee Williams’ Pulitzer Prize-winning drama A Streetcar Named Desire begins performances on April 3. Broadway newcomer Blair Underwood is already heating up the rehearsal room as Stanley Kowalski, a working-class man who clashes with his Southern belle sister-in-law Blanche DuBois (Nicole Ari Parker, also in her Broadway debut). Broadway.com photographer Jenny Anderson got an exclusive look at this highly anticipated production, which also stars Tony nominee Daphne Rubin-Vega as Stella Kowalski and Wood Harris as Harold “Mitch” Mitchell, when she joined the actors and director Emily Mann for rehearsal at the Pershing Square Signature Center.
