Seven-time Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter Usher will appear as the lead Running Man in off-Broadway's Fuerza Bruta: Look Up for two performances on April 28. Created by Diqui James, Gaby Kerpel, Alejandro Garcia and Fabio Daquila, Fuerza Bruta is currently playing an open-ended run at off-Broadway’s Daryl Roth Theatre.
For his special guest appearance, Usher will join current Fuerza Bruta cast members Daniel Case, Lauren Gibbs, John Hartzell, Brooke Miyasaki, Kira Morris and Holly Shunkey in a wonderland of water. Fuerza Bruta (translated to “force brute” in English) is an eye-popping, non-verbal performance using music, dance, acrobatics and aerial imagery.
Usher made his Broadway debut as Billy Flynn in Chicago. The singer-songwriter’s hit songs include “Nice & Slow” and “U Remind Me.” Usher’s upcoming studio album Looking For Myself is set for a June 12 release. As an actor, Usher’s film and TV credits include Killers, In the Mix, Soul Food, 7th Heaven and American Dreams.
