Broadway embraced its newest dysfunctional family, The Lyons, on April 23, when Nicky Silver’s acclaimed play officially opened at the Cort Theatre. The comedy about a family dealing with the impending death of their patriarch first premiered off-Broadway at the Vineyard Theatre in the fall of 2011. The show's stars Linda Lavin, Dick Latessa, Kate Jennings Grant and Michael Esper were welcomed back to Broadway by director Mark Brokaw and a starry crowd that included The Book of Mormon's Andrew Rannells, Eric McCormack and Camryn Manheim. After the curtain came down, the cast headed to Sardi’s for an intimate, old-fashioned opening soiree. Click below to join in on the opening night festivities of The Lyons.
