Christie Brinkley Talks Her ‘Comedic’ Take on Chicago on CBS This Morning

When stopping by CBS This Morning on April 26 Chicago star Christie Brinkley's first order of business was to address her Broadway naysayers. “I think a lot of people came to see the trainwreck,” she said of her original 2011 run as merry murderess Roxie Hart, “But I think the fact that they asked me to do the show in London and then asked me back this year for an encore performance means that I was capable.” Brinkley chatted with hosts Gayle King and Erica Hill about the hard work she has put into the show, including dance lessons with Fosse protégé Ann Reinking, and her own approach on the role. “I have more of a comedic take on it,” she said. “So if I mess up I just laugh and hopefully they laugh with me!” Click on below to check in with Brinkley, then check out Chicago at the Ambassador Theatre.
