Mazel tov! It was a laughing matter indeed as the comedy revue Old Jews Telling Jokes celebrated its opening after the May 20 Sunday matinee at off-Broadway’s Westside Theatre. Starring Marilyn Sokol, Bill Army, Todd Susman, Audrey Lynn Weston and Lenny Wolpe, the revue was inspired by the website OldJewsTellingJokes.com, which launched in 2009. Created by Peter Gethers and Daniel Okrent, the show reinvents and pays tribute to classic jokes and comic songs. Once the curtain fell, the cast and creative team headed to Ben's Deli in New York City to yuk it up with guests and celebrate their success.
