Tony winner and two-time Grammy nominee Betty Buckley will release her sixteenth solo album, Ah, Men! The Boys of Broadway, on August 28. Produced by Palmetto Records, the album is inspired by Buckley’s 2011 concert at Feinstein’s at Loews Regency in which she performed classic Broadway tunes originally made famous by men.
Ah, Men! The Boys of Broadway will feature “I Can See It” from The Fantasticks, “My Defenses Are Down” from Annie Get Your Gun, “Jet Song” and “Maria” from West Side Story, “I Won’t Dance” from Roberta, “Venice” from Elegies, “Luck Be a Lady” and "More I Cannot Wish You” from Guys and Dolls, “Song on the Sand” from La Cage Aux Folles, “A Hymn to Her” adapted from My Fair Lady, “Come Back to Me” from On a Clear Day You Can See Forever, “Hey There” from The Pajama Game, “Corner of the Sky” from Pippin and “Not While I’m Around/Johanna/My Friends” from Sweeney Todd.
Buckley earned a Tony Award for Cats and an additional nomination for Triumph of Love.
