On July 10, off-Broadway’s Signature Theatre Company kicked off the first night of Signature Cinema, a new series showcasing films written by playwrights. Signature Cinema’s inaugural screening featured Kenneth Lonergan’s Margaret, starring Anna Paquin, Matt Damon, Tony nominee Mark Ruffalo, Tony winner John Gallagher Jr., Slowgirl star Sarah Steele and two-time Tony nominee Allison Janney. Margaret is the story of a young woman (Paquin) who witnesses a bus accident and grapples with the aftermath. Check out this Hot Shot of Signature Theatre Company artistic director James Houghton at the screening with Lonergan, who recently finished a run of his comedy Medieval Play at the Signature Center.
