Voca People has announced a closing date of September 2 in advance of a national tour beginning in February 2013. The production began performances at the Westside Theater on June 23, 2011, and moved to New World Stages on February 16, 2012. Voca People will have played a total of 400 performances upon closing.
Created by Lior Kalfo, who serves as the group's producer and artistic director, and Shai Fishman, The Voca People first gained fame thanks to YouTube and then booked live performances in Israel, Brazil, Spain, Italy and many more. The group, which performs well known radio hits, is comprised of eight singers and uses various vocal techniques such as beat boxing to create their unique sound.
The international company of Voca People continues to tour the world. To date, Voca People has traveled to over 15 countries including France, Germany, Spain, Italy, South America, Canada and Hong Kong.
