Every cast member in Bruce Norris’ Tony and Pulitzer Prize-winning play Clybourne Park is doing double duty, playing one character in the first act, set in 1959, and quite another in act two, which takes place in 2009. This time-hopping dark comedy, inspired by Lorraine Hansberry’s A Raisin in the Sun, centers on one house being sold in those two very different time periods, first by a white couple to a black couple, and later in reverse. Broadway.com photographer Jenny Anderson went backstage at the Walter Kerr Theatre to see how the tightknit Clybourne ensemble preps for this demanding play.
